Open hours is a refurbishment project of the foyer of the French Academy at Villa Medici in Rome. The intervention includes some movable furnishing objects: bookcases, tables, benches, and a small external guard pavilion. Every object is equipped with an integrated lighting. Based on their position, the objects define new relationships and hierarchies within the space, in a flexible way. Being made of metal, they can support magnetic texts and symbols, thus becoming objects that communicate.
