The proposal for the renovation of the Vigorelli Velodrome in Milan aims at being visionary and pragmatic at once: pragmatic in doing the most with the existing structure and the limited budget available, visionary in proposing the constitution of the Park of Wheels, a new enclosed public space in Milano dedicated to wheel urban sports. The central field is made accessible from the street: while creating a continuous public ground this park has the scale and size to become a public attractor adding up to the changing metropolitan landscape.
